In 2017, buffer and transition zones were defined to the existing Chervenata Stena Reserve and at present, the entire territory of Assenovgrad Municipality has been approved by UNESCO as one of the first Bulgarian modern-generation post-Sevillel biosphere parks. The Biosphere Park is a preferred place for recreation and tourism because of its clean and well-preserved environment, the quality of the provided tourist services and the products, created in a nature-friendly way. To promote the significance of the Chervenata Stena Biosphere Park and the benefits to local communities, various information materials have been issued.
